Hey guys! I am Hadleigh Williamson. I'm 18 and I live in Charlotte, NC! I am all about living authentically and chasing after my God-given purpose; bringing lost hearts home to their Father. So, I have felt called to take a gap year between high school and college to take a 6-month mission trip with an organization called Youth With A Mission. I will be spending 3 months in Lynden, Washington learning how to cultivate a heart of missions and practically apply that knowledge on the mission field. Then, I will be spending another 3 months somewhere internationally (I will know the location of where I will be stationed once I get closer to the departure date). During those 3 months, I will be on the international mission field. YWAM (Youth With A Mission) offers several different "tracks" that you can take along your missions school journey. The track that I am taking is all about worship and music. The main focus of this track to pursue the Lord with all of my heart and bring His love to the nations through worship and music.
I am so stoked to bring the joy and freedom of the gospel to these people! So, that is the basis of what I will be doing! I will be leaving in September of 2019, and I have to raise $7000.00 for my trip before August of 2019. The funds will be used for my travel expenses, housing, food, and other necessities inside and outside of the United States. During my time in the States, I will be living in a dorm setting in Lynden. During my time outside of the States, I will be living among the people I am serving. Also, once it gets closer to the date of departure, I will have a blog so you can see where your support is going. I am BEYOND excited to pursue this calling. And although I am over the moon excited about all of this, I am also a little nervous. Jumping in the deep end is a little frightening sometimes, but that is where I know the Lord has called me. He wants me to be in over my head. I believe so strongly in the power of prayer and I am confident in the Lord's faithfulness through all circumstances. I would greatly appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and help of all kinds!
