<div>For the past four years, members of the Honourable Artillery Company have been striving towards an extraordinary goal: to be the first-ever mixed male and female British Army Reservist team to summit Mount Everest.

<div>Our team has been rigorously preparing, balancing intense mountaineering training with our Regimental duties, alongside full-time civilian careers.

<div>Our Everest expedition has now officially started. We landed in Nepal on 10 April and are now in the trekking phase of the expedition.

<div>We are fundraising for two charities - <a href="https://www.ssafa.org.uk/?gclsrc=aw.ds&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjw--K_BhB5EiwAuwYoyvtAetC5D0n5T5iQ_-HCNq5ZGULI2obKEbbk0S52ND00blY8Qv-s3RoCR7gQAvD_BwE" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">SSAFA</a> (the Armed Forces Charity, which supports veterans and service personnel) and <a href="https://www.c2r.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Climb2Recovery</a> (which helps injured veterans start adaptive climbing). Donations will go to these charities once the costs of the expedition have been met.
