Habitat for Humanity Trip to the DR

I've never been one to plan anything for my birthday, but I figured that my 25th would be a good start. On March 3rd, I'll be traveling with Habitat for Humanity and 9 other volunteers to the Dominican Republic to begin construction on a house for a family in need.
At VHB, I have had the opportunity to work on a project for Habitat for Humanity helping with the site design and permitting of a project in Salisbury that consists of 7 units of housing. While there have been a few ups and downs throughout the process, it's been such an amazing experience getting to put my engineering knowledge to use for something like this. At the volunteer appreciation dinner, I learned of the trip to the Dominican and knew that I didn't want to help from behind a computer this time - I wanted to be on site, helping build a home.
I've been so grateful to continue to learn about Habitat for Humanity's mission, and the impact they have on the families of the houses they build. It's humbling and exciting to see how these projects come together, and I can't wait to continue to be a part of the whole experience.
The cost of the trip is $2000 plus around $700 for airfare. The cost covers a donation to the host's community's Habitat program, transportation, foods, accommodations, and travel medical insurance. Any contribution to the trip would be so greatly appreciated; not just by me but by the whole group, and the family in the Dominican Republic. Any additional funds will be donated to the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity.
