Accessable van - Kent's wheelchair

I am a single middle-aged man with a neurological disease that is characterized by progressive weakness and spasticity (stiffness) of the legs This progressive disease has advanced to the point that I can no longer transfer from my wheelchair to my hand operated van so that I can continue with my part-time work teaching computer classes and as a volunteer instructor . Simply put, I need to purchase a used van with a ramp so that I can maintain my mobility as long as possible.
I live very simply in an apartment that friends have modified for my use. As well, they do my housekeeping. While their friendship and help sustains me in many ways, they can contribute only a small amount toward the funds necessary for a ramp-side van. My only family lives out of state and cannot provide a whole lot toward my welfare.
Financially, I manage to pay for my apartment, utilities and food, but not much more. I have few other resources to rely on at this time.
I feel that I am a good man and have lived my life responsibly and in service to others. But now, my needs exceed my capacity to provide for myself and I need to reach out beyond my circle of family and friends. My great hope is that through the GoFundMe community I can reach enough contributors so that I can continue with my work and make my own way in life for as long as possible.
