Senior Trip to Rome

For 13 years, I have learned all there is to know about Rome. I have attended Highlands Latin School--a classical Christian school in Louisville, Kentucky--since kindergarten and have been educated in Rome's rich history as one of the most powerful empires the world has ever seen. I have heard of all these wonderful and significant places, but have only been able to picture them in my head. Highlands Latin School gives a special opportunity to seniors: a chance to visit Rome for a week. In Rome, I would be able to see the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus, where gladiators fought and chariots raced; the Capitoline Hill, one of the seven great hills on which Rome set its roots; and the Forum where so many great orators spoke.

This is a wonderful opportunity that only few receive. However, it requires $2,500 due on November 17 that I do not have as a high school senior preparing to take on the burden of college payments. Visiting Rome would allow me to experience in person the places that I have learned so much about. I would greatly appreciate any donation and be thankful for all who are willing to help me achieve this dream.
