Chevy Needs Surgery

Tax deductible
So here is Chevy’s story: He is a Newnan Coweta Humane Society (NCHS) foster dog. Chevy was hit by a vehicle some months ago and suffered many injuries. Recently he was dumped on a gravel road, just left behind. Still this boy looks at everyone with love. A caring individual called County Animal Services and Chevy was taken to the County Shelter. They determined that his injuries were too severe for them to treat and called NCHS for help. Chevy was taken to the vet for immediate trauma care and pain management. He was then referred to Auburn University Veterinary School. This this great boy had an orthopedic consult and his first surgery. Chevy’s rear right leg had a fracture that was healing very incorrectly and causing him pain. The first surgery included re-breaking the right rear leg and inserting interlocking screws into the bone to help the leg heal and be the correct length. He has been such a loving, kissing boy through it all. After healing from his first surgery, he had his front left leg amputated. He had a Brachial Plexus injury to that leg. He is the strongest, most resilient, sweetest boy you could meet. Soon he will be neutered and ready for adoption. Please show Chevy some love and if you can contribute, it is greatly appreciated as his medical bills have exceeded $7,000. We hope Chevy will have a great permanent home soon!
