A Cappella Academy 2022

Hey! My name is Anela Abihai. I'm an 18 year old from California. I auditioned for and was recently accepted to a cappella academy. This is an intensive 10-day vocal camp in Los Angeles where only the top 13% of auditionees are accepted. Going to this camp would be a dream but I need some help to get there.

I started singing at a young age, around 3. Although I never formally took classes until a few years ago, I knew it was something I truly loved. I started out with instruments during elementary and middle school before joining my first choir in high school. Despite my nerves, I grew a larger appreciation and passion for a cappella. My sophomore year I joined my high school's vocal jazz group. I learned through my peers and loved working with like-minded people.

My goal is at least to raise a good portion of the tuition money to help my single mom out with the cost.

This opportunity will give me additional growth, furthering my passion for music. Along with this, it will allow me to grow my connections and have fun with others who take vocal music just as seriously as me. Thank you for believing in me. Any amount will help.
