<div>Corey's love for his grandfather, PamPoo, was special. During PamPoo's long illness, Corey helped take care of him as only a child can... by imitating the home health nurses' routine, checking his chart, vitals, etc. Now that PamPoo has passed, Corey and his grandmother, MeeMaw, need our help.

<div>My name is Marsha Drennen and I'm a friend of Melissa Ray. Melissa is a grandmother in her late 50s raising her 7-year-old grandson, Corey. His mother has struggled with mental health and drug issues for many years, so Melissa and her husband adopted him to provide a safe and stable home. Melissa can no longer work due to Myasthenia Gravis (MG). Her disease causes unexpected falls and fatigue. She also has heart arrhythmia and the MG medication interferes with her heart medication. Their daughter depleted her and her husband’s savings, so she lives off a small fixed income and struggles with her health.

<div>MeeMaw and PamPoo have raised Corey as their own since he was a baby, having full custody of him. They have provided him with a stable, godly, loving home and he has thrived! Corey is doing very well in school and earned many badges in Boy Scouts! Now that Melissa is raising him alone, she’s the one who goes on camping trips (including a winter Polar Bear campout), field trips, sports practices and games, etc. Her grandson is a natural runner and recently ran the most laps of any child in the school for a pledge fundraiser.

<div>She needs our help! Her trailer needs plumbing repairs, new doors, floors repaired and rotten wood replaced. It also needs washing and outdoor maintenance. It would be wonderful to raise enough money to buy her a newer trailer, but we can at least fix this one.

<div>Her overgrown yard was recently cleaned up by a group of teenagers from a Home School Beta Club. They descended on her lot and trimmed shrubs and weeds, blew off her roof and raked and bagged over 40 lawn bags of yard waste!
