Transplant Unwrapped’s mission is to educate and support the short bowel syndrome, intestinal rehabilitation, and intestinal and multivisceral transplantation community.

In August 2020, Transplant Unwrapped became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to ensure every patient, caregiver, and member of the intestinal disease community feels well-educated and supported throughout their journey with intestinal failure, intestinal rehabilitation, and intestinal and multivisceral transplantation.

Currently, Transplant Unwrapped offers a website with educational materials, patient and caregiver stories, clinician interviews, and webinars on topics relating to intestinal failure, intestinal rehabilitation, and intestinal and multivisceral transplantation. Support groups for pediatric and adult patients are offered monthly. In addition, our Transplant Unwrapped Kid’s Site provides content through kid-friendly animations and activities.

Our organization runs exclusively by unpaid volunteers. 100% of donations are used to develop new educational resources, support programs, and general operating expenses.
