Help Us Get Home To See Our Family

These last few weeks have been hard, I have lost friends and family very dear to me.  2020 has not been kind.  I left my job at UCSD to spend my son’s senior year with him and do my community work full time.  COVID19 had other plans.  Graduation was stolen from him, from us.  Coping with that has been hard.  However, I’m still doing my work for the LGBTQIAP2+ community.  I lost a dear friend and two family members in the last month. On top of that, despite getting my Medical Assistant certificate while quarantined and change my career path to helping people with patient care, I cannot seem to get hired.  I live in an RV by choice.  Struggling to pay rent and fear of losing my shelter was not an option.  Living in an RV has always been a dream, now it’s my reality, but a forced reality to survive.  I’m on unemployment that barely covers the basics.  We want and need to go home to see our family and say good bye to those we’ve lost.  I have fixed as much of the RV to drive there, but we have so many more repairs to make, plus, gas, etc.  to get there.  So I’m reaching out to you all for your help which is hard for me, but I give my all to my community, I’m hoping my community will give back to me in my time of need.  Please help us get home to see our family as well as survive this winter in our RV.  Anything you can give will help.  Thank you so much
