Four weeks ago now our beautiful Mother and heart of our family was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer and a secondary growth in her left hip. (As if having fought off cancer once before wasn't enough.) Mom has already fought and conquered breast cancer back in 1999 and here we find ourselves going down this really scary path once again. Sometimes it is extremely hard to fathom why these things happen but we are banding together as a family to support Mom through this and will be using both conventional treatment methods along with holistic approaches to best return Mom back to her vibrant shining self. Our motto is "There is no such thing as an incurable disease" regardless of conventional ideas and diagnosis.
We are ensuring that mind, body and spirit will be addressed as a holistic healing approach to give Mom the best possible support and outcome throughout this journey. We have a vision to possibly send Mom over to Thailand for adjunct integrative immunotherapy at a centre called Verita Life that cater for the individual through creating an integrative program specifically targeted to the individuals circumstances and needs rather than just blanket one size fits all approaches that seemed to be offered over here. They specialise in supporting and strengthening the person's own immune system and whole body intelligence whilst working to shrink the tumours at the same time. We would like to encorperate this as part of our treatment plan for our beautiful Mother.
This is where we need a bit of help. Obviously Medicare and Private Health both do not cover most of these holistic approaches we are using and funds are running a bit low. We are facing the fact that we will end up closing our business to give Mom the rest and recuperation time she so vitally needs and this means we do not have income coming in.
If you could dig deep and donate even a dollar or two towards our cause we would be forever grateful. If you could share this for us to get a wider reach we would forever appreciate it as well.
We know we have a long and possibly hard road ahead and we want to do everything in our power to ensure our Mom gets the best possible integrative approach available. She is our Matriarch, our best friend, the heart of the family and we just want the best for her.
