<div>Hi, my name is James Fauntleroy and I'm a kidney dialysis patient. I have this fundraiser simply for one reason: living as a disabled person is difficult and we are subject to living in poverty day after day in this system. Living expenses are too costly on disability alone and I'm trying to survive along with my mother who lives with me and is elderly. This help would go towards food, utilities, transportation and housing to help us survive.

<div>My current food stamps are $30 per month and because of the COLA (Cost Of Living Adjustment), my SNAP benefits were decreased by 50% from last year. The COLA for disability is wholly inadequate to live on but we take whatever help we can get to survive.

<div>My rent was increased by $250 more and it makes it even harder to keep our head above water.  The sad part is that we're not alone in this situation. So many others are going through this same thing and housing assistance is more scarce than ever before because the number of us who are housing insecure continues to grow exponentially.
