The Geneva Marching Vikings and Band ensembles are wearing uniforms that are 18 years old. These uniforms are not only worn during marching season, but they are also used for concert season as well. Many are in disrepair and require extra fastening with safety pins for proper fitting or are not suitable for attire any longer due to holes and missing pieces. In addition, the concert band and percussion methods don't currently have uniforms to wear for performances. The band program would like to order new uniforms for the entire program, however this is a hefty expense that no budget is able to cover. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The proposed new uniforms include a proper marching uniform, as well as tuxes and dresses for all three band ensembles; wind symphony, symphonic band, and concert band/percussion methods, to use for concerts all year. Separating concert dress from marching dress will allow for less wear and tear on the uniforms which will increase their longevity. In addition, the new marching uniforms have adjustable fasteners that allow for lengthening and shortening without alterations.
The Geneva Music Boosters have a specific account set up for new uniform fundraising. All donations will filter to that account until we reach our goal!
