Help Save My Cat

Everyone that knows me knows I'm a cat lover.  I love all critters, but only cats can tolerate my busy life.  So today I got the devastating news that one of my 4 siblings has diabetes.  Junior has lost half his weight, and while otherwise seeming normal and still loving food, he's a sick boy.   At 8 years old, with a good chance of remission after insulin therapy and a big dietary change that I am uniquely positioned to provide, there is no other option to me but to get started with his treatments.  The problem this year is, I'm already having a very financially challenging year.  I'm selling some things to make property taxes at the end of November.  All of that will work out well in the future, but my short term is grim.  The vet bill today was 250.00, and medicine starts at 125.00 next week.  The kicker is, I will have to board Junior quite a bit due to work issues.  He will have to have insulin twice a day once it starts.  I have a fabulous vet place (Alamo Feline Health Center) that will take good care of him when I can't.  What I hope for is just a few bucks from fellow pet lovers.  I've already gone 10k in debt (house issue) this year, or this wouldn't be a problem.  Seriously, if this thing nets me even 50 bucks, it would be a tremendous help, but it will probably run up to 2000.00 before it's all said and done.  I'll have 22 days of boarding between now and the end of the year at 20.00 a day.  Any funds will be used for the boarding, the weekly visits, insulin and labs.  My research tells me we have a good chance of winning this one, as diabetes in cats is reversable just as it is in humans.

Junior is curled on my feet under the desk.  I sure miss those extra few pounds of warmth.  He always runs when the camera comes out, but I got this one of him eating.  Spinach.  Came home from a farmers market one day, and the cats had drug the spinach out of my tote.  They get fresh organic every chance I get.
