Help Zach Finish School to Become a Therapist

My name is Zachary Reinstatler and I’m an undergraduate counselor-in-training on a mission to help uplift the voices of marginalized communities through the healing power of therapy. I am currently studying psychology and substance abuse counseling at the University of Cincinnati, after which I will go on to attain my doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology. It is my goal to serve those populations which are often underserved: LGBTQ+ populations, lower socioeconomic status, people of color, etc.
 
As a queer, transgender, disabled individual who has personally had to navigate the mental health care system, I understand the power of representation among healthcare professionals, and the positive impact it can have on our clients. I really believe that the more LGBTQ+, people of color, and disabled individuals go on to become healthcare professionals, the more equipped we become to help these underserved and marginalized populations.
 
My mission is to be part of the solution, to earn my degrees, attain my training, and become a safe space for those who often do not have ready access to those spaces. But I need help to get there.
