Hi, we are Sue and Pam and we're fundraising for Mikaela. Mikaela is a kind and wonderful friend and co-worker who never hesitates to help others and takes very good care of her cats! Last year, during a routine physical, she was sent for a screening mammogram. Life was good and she had no concerns. However, doctors were concerned when the results came back. On October 5th, Mikaela was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer that develops rapidly and is often hard to detect. It’s scary reading about it, let alone being the one going through painful treatments, hanging onto hope for the future.

Mikaela began treatment at the end of October. Since then Mikaela has had to miss two, often more, days of work per week and unfortunately, work does not offer a sick bank option. Mikaela began getting smaller paychecks in December. She is exhausted and her body aches. Soon she will need surgery and will miss even more work.

We want to help raise money for Mikaela so that she can pay her bills and focus on her health. We want her well and able to do the things she loves with all of us again!!
