<div>In November of 2024, <strong>George had back surgery</strong>. After five days of being home, he was life-flighted to Pittsburgh for an emergency surgery, which left him paralyzed from the chest down. After five months in the hospital, George got to come home.

<div>But now he needs a mobility van for doctor appointments and for getting out and about. <strong>He served in the Coast Guard for four years and was a railroader for 27 years</strong>. He was always really active with his wife, four children, and ten grandchildren.
