I got the news 2 weeks ago. Three medical specialists all agree: "This infection will not go away until you have all your remaining teeth extracted. Until that time there remains the risk of the infection spreading to your heart , brain or entire bloodstream...which can prove to be fatal. This has to be taken care of as soon as possible."
Throughout my life I've been told numerous times that I have such a beautiful smile and people have frequently asked me if I wore braces as a child. I didn't. One of the blessings God gave me happened to be my "beautiful smile." Now that blessing has become a daily cross I have to carry. And the weight of my cross has gotten too heavy to carry alone.. But I've also been extremely blessed with the gift of childlike faith in God so I know that with Him nothing is impossible!
This is "how all began;"
I've been on medications since a car accident in 2003. Twelve years and 5 unsuccessful surgeries later has resulted in my dependence on some medication for the rest of my life. One of the side effects from this medication is severe dry mouth. This side effect resulted in loosing all but 7 of my teeth . Now they have to come out too...key words 'have to.'
Easy fix? Just get them out? Not as easy as that. I have no insurance simply because we can't afford it. But obviously money is needed, unless God has already decided that my time here is coming to an end. His Will be done! Whatever it be. But...most of us are familiar with the saying; "God helps those who help themselves." That's why I had to humble myself ( believe me, asking anyone, let alone strangers, for money is very hard to do,) and take the advice of many friends in reaching out on this site and asking for help.
I don't want anyone to have to read a 10 chapter book here, so I'll get to the bottom line. Just like so many people today, unfortunately, we are struggling greatly financially. I'm doing this fundraising to pay for the remainder of my teeth to be extracted, then surgery to have my jaw scrapped to remove any leftover infection that still poses the threat of being fatal, then, and probably the most costly of all the procedures needed, special dentures with partial implants to secure them because my gums and roof of my mouth are deformed and traditional dentures wouldn't stay put, even with gorilla or crazy glue, due to the deformities, so they need to be anchored in with 4 or 6 implants.
Well, that is it in a nutshell. It would take eternity and I could still never be able to repay anyone who decides to help me. But one thing I can promise you is that you will remain in my daily prayers for the rest of my life. With all my heart I thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you can't help financially I ask that you please help spiritually through praying for me.
