Help Our Family Navigate Our Health Journey

Hello, my name is Alicia, and I have been navigating significant health challenges since 2020. While some of the major health concerns I faced have been resolved, the journey has left me with significant recovery challenges. In the past two months alone, I’ve suffered two major heart attacks due to a failing heart, which has drastically impacted my stamina and left me disabled. In addition, I now require oxygen intermittently, particularly during activity or exertion, and the combination of these issues has made daily life and independence much harder to manage.

To regain some independence and improve my quality of life, I need a wheelchair. Unfortunately, this vital piece of equipment is not covered by insurance. The wheelchair would help me conserve energy, support my heart stamina, and allow me to spend more time outside of the house with my family.

In addition to the wheelchair, many of my in home physical therapy’s (PT), occupational therapy’s (OT), medications, and other essential treatments are not covered by insurance. We’ve been paying for these out-of-pocket, alongside regular household expenses like rent, utilities, and caring for our children. It’s been incredibly challenging to keep up with these mounting costs.

Through all of this, my husband has worked tirelessly to provide for us and keep everything afloat. His hard work and dedication mean everything to our family, and I want to ease some of the burden on him. By raising funds, we can relieve some of the financial pressure and allow him to focus more on our family’s well-being, rather than worrying about how we’ll cover the next expense.

Our family of six, including our four amazing children, has been deeply impacted by this journey. Our kids have shown incredible strength and resilience, but we want to give them as much stability and support as possible during these challenging times.

Any funds raised will go directly toward critical expenses, including the wheelchair, uncovered medical treatments and therapies, medications, rent, bills, and ensuring our children have the support they need.
