Help Maverick Walk Again

My sweet, loving, resilient God-son-dog Maverick has suddenly lost the use of his back legs due to IVDD ( Intervertebral Disc Disease) and is undergoing surgery to repair his spinal cord. It is a disease that affects Dachshunds like Maverick because of his long body and his cute little short legs.
There is a high success rate for this surgery, but as most of you that know Mav already know, he has the added complication of the damage that the brown recluse spider bite inflicted (his crazy looking back scar). That damn spider bite also makes this part of a pre-existing condition according to the pet insurance he has so it will NOT be covered.
Maverick is a fighter, he proved that when he lived through the trauma of that spider bite. He was not supposed to survive, but he did! He survived that to be the most amazing companion to his human, and my dear friend, Crystal Yardley. He is her best friend, her heart's true north, and constant reminder that what doesn't kill you makes you a badass!
I know funds are tight for most of us as we find our way through this year of uncertainty, but even a little contribution will help. His surgery is $7,000 and there will be additional financial burdens of physical therapy and medication.
