I found this sweet old girl in the streets and brought her home. She was walking around the neighborhood with a giant lump in her groin, following anybody that would give her any attention. She was wandering for a few days and after trying to find the owner there was no luck. She had ticks grown to the point where it was evident she had been neglected for weeks. I didn’t want this dog to suffer or die in the streets. I’ve started this gofundme to aid with her medical costs to potentially give her another shot at life. After a vet visit today, it was concluded that it’s a hernia likely resulting from some sort of physical trauma. The surgery is scheduled because I simply cannot wait any longer as it can potentially be life threatening the longer it goes untreated. She’s such a sweet calm girl and she never deserved to be out in the streets the way she was. Any and all donations are appreciated and I appreciate everyone that has helped in this journey thus far.

UPDATE: The dog had a successful hernia repair surgery and her total vet bills totaled at a little over 2k. This included the initial diagnostic exam, the surgery itself, and the medication that she has been taking during the recovery process. She is due to get her staples removed soon and will hopefully begin to adjust to her new life. The vet said that her hernia surely didn't appear overnight and she's been living with it for quite some time. It makes me incredibly sad seeing how much discomfort it caused her. Im grateful to have had the opportunity to rescue her and get her off the streets but with the steep price of the medical bills I need all the help I can get. We've raised almost half the cost and I'm eternally grateful to everyone that has contributed.
