Senior High School Donations

A Senior High School in South Miami-Dade, in my community, has over 85 homeless students - a number which has only grown since COVID-19, and an estimated 85% of the student population living just 1-2 paychecks away from being homeless themselves. These students and their families are in constant need of food, toiletries, and clothing, because of their unstable housing situations. The school relies on outside donations and support, and myself, my mom, my coworkers, the Rotary Club of Perrine-Cutler Ridge/Palmetto Bay, and The Junior League of Miami have all pitched in. But we need your help! Fortunately, they have a huge storage space for donations. Every little thing counts.

I’m asking you to please donate on our GoFundMe page. Your money will go towards providing food and toiletries to these kids and their families. By providing money, we are able to buy in bulk with coupons!! More bang for your buck! All funds are being deposited into the Rotary Club's 501c-3 Foundation bank account.

It will ship to my office, and I will deliver the items to the school. And if you have nothing to give right now, I completely understand. Perhaps forward this to someone you know who would be able to give or start a collection drive at your office or your child's school?

We visit the school every two weeks, and I am shocked at how much need there is. We show up and stock the shelves with an amazing amount of donated food and toiletries, and in two weeks it is completely depleted.  Anything you can give is appreciated and keeps these kids fed and able to focus in the classroom. Imagine waking up EVERY MORNING not knowing how many meals you will get that day, or the next 5 days (Thanksgiving break), or the next 16 days (winter break). I can’t imagine it.
