Abigail's Funeral Expense

Donation protected
I am Abby's Aunt Irma.  Abby was so special in so many ways full of love, always helping others and her love for children. She had been ill the last few months but recently just came into the hospital with a infection in her leg. She had several complications her heart, her lungs then her kidneys and liver. She was fighting....she was trying to stay alive for her parents....for her sisters. In the mix of Abby being ill her mother Diane a severe diabetic didn't take note of her sore in her foot because she was trying to take care of Abby.  Diane herself had to be admitted as a patient quickly to get her infection in her foot treated and to get her sugar count which was over 500 controlled. It is hard as a mother to be ill while not knowing the outcome of her daughter. I was there with Abby over the weekend and there this morning.  One time Abby woke up to see me and I told her that Ashley her sister went home to take a shower and that her parents are coming within 30 minutes. Though she could hardly talk she told me she was "sorry for not being good company".....I told her don't worry about that but get well.  That's the kind of person she was....always thinking of others than herself.  Now today when we woke up didn't think we would lose our angel. It happened so quickly the doctor came in to check on her infection and after a few moments.....it seemed like she lost consciousness.....the alarms were going off....nurses rushing in....doctors... I had to call her mother Diane to have the nurse immediately take to her to the MICU dept where Abby was. It was heartwrenching to see the medical staff doing CPR and everything that they can to keep her alive......it was heartwrenching to see the nurse bringing Diane in a wheelchair with her tubes attached to her trying to get her in time......It was a long hall way but you knew as Diane got closer......what she would find.

She wept seeing her daughter there in the bed as they were trying to revive her. Abby left this world but we know she is still with us in our hearts. Abigail didn't have medical insurance and no life insurance. The burden of losing a loved one along with the pain of not knowing how to bury her is something no parent should ever feel. The lowest expense is to have one viewing and to have Abby cremated. It's the only choice for the family because of their financial needs. Her family is just like any other just getting by paycheck to paycheck. We are trying to raise enough funds just to have the most economical funeral.

If you took the time to read this.....thank you so much and keep the Cruz family in your prayers.
If you are able to donate whatever you can......know this...that that long walk in the hallway will help a mother bury her daughter.
