Help me to help others

Two years ago I embarked on my journey to earn my Psy. D in clinical psychology at Adler University in Chicago. From the beginning I wanted not only to help others, but to help those who most of society has turned their back on; those with substance use disorders. Living in Chicago I often see firsthand how people are impacted by substances.

I actively study and work towards providing equal treatment opportunities for everyone in need. I have already been able to present at several conferences about substance abuse treatment for the Latin/x population and health care disparities for BIPOC/POC.  Currently, I am an extern at a drug rehab center on the West Side of Chicago where I have the incredible opportunity to work in the field as a therapist.

While I am incredibly passionate about what I do, earning my doctorate degree comes at an incredibly hefty price. A single credit hour is nearly $1,600 and at this time I still have 31 credit hours to go after this Fall semester.

Any amount would go to my schooling and help me to help others. If you cannot donate I would greatly appreciate if you could simply share my campaign. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story :)
