Memorial Service Update

Well what a whirlwind week this has been for me and my family. As everyone knows my sweet uncle hasn't ever had the best health and was thrown with all kinds of different medical problems from being on dialysis for over 30+ years (one of the longest ever living dialysis patient) due to not one but two kidney transplants failing to work , his leg had to be amputated and had a prosthetic, he had a work related injury which left him without much function in his left arm, has fallen several times living with two broken collar bones, several broken ribs, a hip replacement, and being wheel chair bound and just one health problem after another.
The past few months he has been losing a great deal of weight (not that he had any to lose) and complaining of excruciating pain in his back. I took him to the hospital to have xrays done and they came back and said he had several lesions on his vertebrae and we would need to go to the pain specialist to have further testing done. After we got an MRI back from them they told us that he might have bone cancer throughout his back. They sent us to an oncologist to have further testing done. We were sent to Baylor Irving Tuesday morning for a biopsy of his lower back. We went home Tuesday night and I received a phone call from him at 1am Wednesday morning of him saying he fell at home and needed to be taken to the er. We got to the er and they took xrays, MRI's, and cat scans.
We were told Friday afternoon that my uncle has been diagnosed with stage four aggressive lung cancer (the most aggressive case the drs have seen in a long time) that has spread to all his bones causing bone cancer. His dialysis Dr wanted to take him off dialysis because they were afraid of it causing him more pain than what he already is suffering with. My uncle has been in the hospice unit at Baylor Irving going on three days now and they are only giving him a couple(if that) days to live.
We ask for everyone's prayers in the time for me and my family. I know a lot of people have asked of ways to help. My uncle thought he had a life insurance policy that would be able to take care of not only his funeral costs, but me and brother as well, but we just found out his life insurance doesn't cover him being ill, only accidental death. (he didnt realize this, he was just trying to help out me and my brother when this time came) So, it is up to me and my brother to figure everything else out from here on out. We dont have the expenses for a proper burial, as he wished. My uncle always tried to do whatever it was that was needed for us no matter how he had to, he did. He was a very proud man and so is our family but we all know in this kinda of situation your family and friends are everything! So if anyone who is interested in ways of helping my brother and myself in this difficult time it would be to help with my uncles funeral expenses. Anything from $1 or as much as you are willing to give, we would be forever grateful!
If it wasn't for this man who didn't have to take care of us after our dad passed away, we dont know where or who we would be. He is our everything. Right now we feel like we are truly reliving the worst time in our lives ever (losing our dad when we were young to lung cancer) all over again.
As I sit in type this in complete blur from all the tears running down my face, I ask for prayers of peace for my sweet uncle to have no more pain. No more pain. That is what is getting us through this time of our life being completely shattered.
Thank you all who have continued to pray for him, we are so truly grateful!

Our beloved uncle became an angel last night. This was one battle that we couldn't win. But now we know he is no longer in any more pain and no more suffering. He was greeted by my dad, my grandma and his sisters. Now he' s running all over heaven watching over us all. He passed on veterans day, even though he wasn't a veteran,  he is and will always be our hero!
