Melanie's TBI Awareness Fund

On Saturday November 8th 2014, Melanie and her boyfriend Justin were in a serious motorcycle accident. They hit the center meadian trying to avoid a car stopped in the middle of the highway.

Justin has very bad road rash as well as a fractured collar bone, broken ribs and a broken hand. He is in pain but will not leave Melanie's side. 

At the scene of the accident Melanie was unresponsive but breathing on her own. They got her to the hospital and preformed surgery on a collapsed lung. They found that she had also suffered sever head trama (They both were wearing top of the line helmets). Melanie is currently in ICU at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix Arizona. She is currently in a comatose state with a broken collar bone, 3 broken ribs, a punctured lung, and severe head trama with swelling of the brain. She also had bleeding on her brain but it has slowed substantualy and they were able to remove the drain tube this afternoon ( 11 / 11 / 14 ). This is a long road ahead our family is traveling and we hope that with time Melanie will heal and be able to get back to the life she had as a massage therapist.
