Helens liver Cancer Fight!

On October 10th, 2014 after almost 5 years of being cancer free, we got the devastating news that my mom's cancer had returned. She is a grandmother of 5, loving wife, and the hardest worker I know. She had melanoma of the eye almost 5 years ago, now it is back and in her liver. She has stage 4 melanoma and in just 3 weeks it has spread throughout her body.  In the last 2 months she has undergone thyroid surgery to remove tumors, 5 cat scans, and a pet scan. We were told on Friday Oct 7th that she would not be able to meet with the surgeon because the cancer was too big, too fast, to be removed.  Now she needs to go to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to see what the next step in her road to recovery will be. This may result in multiple trips in the future. If you know Helen you know she is a fighter, caring, and the most loving person we know.  She would do anything for anyone just to help brighten their day!! ALWAYS has a smile on her face! Her and her husband, Doug have been through so much already, please help me take the stress of money off their plate so they can enjoy life to the fullest without the worries of this financial burden. Please help us raise money for the travel expenses, lodging, food, medical bills!  Also please, PRAY, PRAY and PRAY some more for our family!! God is in control and will be her protector, but we could use all the prayers for her!!
