Volunteering in Zambia

We are two third year general nursing students and this summer from June 27th to July 18th we will be flying to Livingstone, Zambia to volunteer in the medical and community development programme.

Zambia is a community where medical resources are scarce and access to healthcare is limited.

We will be taking part in home-based care walking through local communities offering care to people who need treatment for things such as burns, bites and cuts. We will also be involved in wound management, clinic support, health talks and HIV education workshops.

In order to get us to Livingstone, Zambia we need to raise some money. Any help big or small would be greatly appreciated !! The money raised will be used for project equipment and resources needed on the ground.
