Harley's Surgery

Harley, my amazingly wonderful 3.5 year old Bombay cat, has an obstruction in his digestive tract and needs surgery on 1/18 to remove the foreign body. He is a pretty special little dude, affectionately called "noodle" because he will jump on my shoulder and go limp, riding around, purring while looking at the world.  Like a dog, he meets me at the door when I come home, and I can see him in the window, watching me, when I leave. He loves snuggles, and bird watching, catnip, and playing with his brother Ollie. He is my sweet boy, and is as close to a child as I will have. And, as hard as it is to ask, I need help to care for him.  I began a new career in September after leaving my teaching job, and unfortunately I was laid off along with half our sales and support team in mid December, with no notice or severance. I am now in a very precarious financial position. My savings and unemployment monies are just barely covering my basic living expenses. I am actively looking for work and interviewing, so I am hoping that my unemployment doesn't last long, but in the meantime, I do not have anything extra for a furbaby emergency like this.   If you know me, you KNOW that I will pay this forward, in full, as soon as I am able. I am reminded time and time again of just how many thoughtful, generous friends I am blessed to have. It is both overwhelming and completely humbling. I am so grateful for anything that you can do to help me and my boy in our time of need.
