I am setting this gofundme up for my sister, Kelsie.
My sister recently finished her time serving in the United States Navy and moved back home from Virginia to Ohio. On May 21st she was driving home from her friend's house, when a semi-truck came into oncoming traffic hitting her car, making it roll and completely crush around her body as seen in the photo. Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to cut her roof/steering wheel in order to get her out of the car.
Her tibia and fibia completely snapped and came through her skin. She had to undergo surgery to have a titanium rod put in place to stabilize her leg. She is currently home recovering and is unable to work due to the extent of the injury. She had just purchased her vehicle 3 months prior, a brand new Hyundai. She had full-coverage on the vehicle. Even after insurance, she still owes around $8000 for an accident that she is at no fault for.

A witness statement from the police report (personal information redacted): "Approx 1:15p on 5/21/20, I was driving west on 665. A semi truck, license plate XXXXXX crossed the double yellow line and hit a red four door car. The red car went air bourne, flipped 4-5 times, and landed on the driver side of the car. I stopped my vehicle and approached the red car. Women driver driver was in pain and screaming. Her leg was pinned but was able to communicate. Bystander on other side of 665 came to vehicle as well - called 911. Sheriff on scene approx one minute later".
