Our dear friend has been diagnosed with a major medical condition:
“The time has come to inform you all that I will be taking medical leave soon. I was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor that requires surgery. While this is surely not the best news, I’m feeling the utmost confidence in my doctor and his team at the Barrow Center in Phoenix. And at this point all indications are this is benign (big exhale!).
My last day at work is scheduled to be Thursday 11/20. Fingers crossed that all goes perfectly, I should be back after winter holiday.
I welcome all prayers, white light, good vibes for me and my family.

She will be undergoing surgery in November and is looking at a minimum 6 week recovery. We are fundraising to help support her family with travel expenses, insurance co-pays, time lost for work and all the unexpected extra expenses that adds stress to an already stressful situation.
Kimber has been a School Nurse in Santa Fe for the past six years. She has handled medical emergencies of students, staff, volunteers and family members on site. She has literally saved lives here. Her support of community, sense of humor and kindness in dealing with scrapes, cuts, broken arms and stomachaches has been a huge impact in our school.
Originally from Maine, she & her husband John are the parents of 5 children (2, 10, 12, 18 & 20). They are wicked awesome people that are loved and appreciated by all of their friends. Let's show our support.
