Gwen's emergency brain surgery

Our dear friend Gwen, 8 years old, underwent emergency brain surgery early Friday morning. She had been experiencing some headaches and confusion which worried her family. This turned out to be a brain hemorrhage which required immediate surgery.

This, of course, has been extremely stressful for her family. Gina, Gwen’s mother, has worked extremely hard to provide for Gwen by going back to school, starting a new career and finding an apartment for them to live. Unfortunately, taking time off work will undoubtedly take a toll financially. The latest update is that Gwen will need at least three months at home to heal.

Any support would be greatly appreciated as this will help Gina to stay home and give Gwen the time and care she needs to get better. We know that any help would be greatly appreciated by Gina and Gwen at this time.

The family is asking for no visitors at this time, as Gwen needs time to rest and recuperate.
