Friends, we need some help.
Let me tell you about my friend Laura Dickinson.
Laura is a 31 year old mother of three, married to her husband, Rod, for 11 years now. They have a 7 year old girl, Hana, a 6 year old boy, Connor, and also another boy, Trevor, 4 years old. A very beautiful family for sure.
All three of these children have been having health related issues. As it turns out, there was a very small water leak inside a wall causing mold to grow in their house. By the time the leak was found, the mold had spread so much they had to gut the entire inside of the house. Although that is certainly bad news, it gets worse. For the last few months Laura has been getting weaker and weaker, headaches, eyesight problems, racing heart, muscle control problems and seizures.
The list just goes on. She now has lost the use of her legs. And still the doctors in Panama City are at a loss for what is causing this. I spoke with Laura the other day and she was concerned about how I was doing and went on and on about how nice it was that my wife had come to visit her in the hospital. I asked Laura if there was anything we could do for her and she asked me to pray for the doctors to figure out what is causing all this.
Believe it or not, Laura has a positive attitude and is praying for Jehovah to help her family. Laura needs to go to the Mayo clinic in Jacksonville, but all the expenses over the past few months have really taken a toll on their family.
I have set up a Go Fund Me Account to help ease some of the financial burdens so the family can concentrate on getting Laura the help she needs.
There is an old saying that many hands make the load light. If we can get many people to donate a little, it will surely add up. Even if you are not in a position to donate, please share and maybe some of your friends may be able to help Laura.
