Outlaw's Hip Surgery

Donation protected

For the past month, Outlaw has been slightly limping on his hind legs, which has slowly become more and more noticable everyday. I decided that it would not be going away on its on, so, we took him to the vet today -Nov 6, 2014.-

His veterinarian had assured me that it's probably just growing pains and suggested that they perform X-rays to be on the safe side. Three hours later, I called in to see if everything was alright, and they said that the vet needed to speak with us because there were some serious issues with his hips.

When we arrived, we were taken to the back so she could explain the problem:
Outlaw has developed severe arthritis in his right hip, and his bones and joints were abnormaly developed. He would need surgery to keep this issue from worsening and ultimately turning into hip dysplasia.

He needs either femoral head ocstectomy (FHO) or a complete hip replacement. With the FHO, he would need a second surgery in the future as his left hip is getting worse as well. A complete hip replacement (THR) would be more efficient and would almost gurantee a life with great hips...however, both of these procederes can cost between $4,700-10k, which is so completely beyond what we can afford. The medical bills with put us into a humongous amount of debt and we would not be able to support ourselves or our other dogs.

So, I ask of anyone who has anything to spare to PLEASE help us in being able to afford a new hip for my German Shepherd Dog, Outlaw. If you can't donate, please share, and most of all, keep him in your prayers and or send him good vibes.

No donation is too small, anything and everything helps. Thank you so much.
