She spent 8 days in the hospital after surgery and had to take an extended leave from work as she had a limited ability to read, walk, or drive for over 6 months. She also had an unexpected surgery complication: her right eye became completely paralyzed. There has been some recovery now 1 year later, but the remaining paralysis is likely permanent.
Brooke's first surgery was unable to remove the entire tumor, due to its size and position. A remnant tumor surrounds the carotid artery and eye nerves.
Brooke just learned she may be facing an additional surgery and radiation. She also continues to face the cost of diagnostic doctor appointments and testing.
As you can imagine, on top of the emotional and physical stress Brooke has undergone this year, she has also been saddled with an enormous financial burden and needs our help.
On top of already trying to pay off her last surgery, this month and the next will be really financially tough as she faces a plethora of tests, doctor visits, and a possible second surgery.
Please pray for Brooke during this time of uncertainty.
Anything you can give will help.
