<div>The <a href="https://www.glenwilliams.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Glen Williams Community Association (GWCA)</a> is urging residents to help us take action to protect the unique character and heritage of our beloved hamlet. <a href="https://www.glenwilliams.org/gwca-news/development-committee/#TheField" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">A proposed development at 159 Confederation Street</a> proposes a 400% increase in the density that is allowed. It creates real concerns about traffic congestion, pedestrian and cyclist safety, environmental impact and the erosion of our hamlet’s character. Its approval would set an alarming precedent, potentially allowing for more inappropriate development in The Glen.

<div>To help present a strong case at future hearings about the proposed development, the GWCA has hired several third-party experts to provide the necessary legal, policy and technical support. It is anticipated that costs for this expertise could be up to $80,000.
