Angela's Recovery Fund

On April 2nd, Angela's mother was admitted to ICU for severe COVID-19 symptoms. This was devastating news to Angela and her family as they are very close. Unfortunately less than 48 hours later, Angela would follow her mother into the ICU. Her condition got worse and the doctors had no choice but to also put her on a ventilator. Then a feeding tube. Then she contracted pneumonia. She remained in an unconscious state for over a month. Her numbers would go up and down... but through a miracle of God, she eventually got to the point that they could put in a trach and ween her off of sedation. 

Family and friends are completely overjoyed, but a long road of recovery is ahead of her. She remains on the ventilator and does not have function of her limbs yet but every day is a step closer to recovery. Grandma Chris is still on the ventilator as well but unfortunately has not improved. We remain hopeful that she too will make a full recovery along with Angela and get to hold her grandchildren again.

5/20/21 UPDATE: We are sad to announce that Angela's mother, Christine Lerario, has passed away this morning due to complications of COVID19. Please join us in sending thoughts and prayers to the entire Lerario and Leach family during this time. 

We started this GoFundMe for Angela and her family to help with the loss of income and medical bills they will endure over the coming months while Angela recovers. The severity of the infection damaged not only her lungs, but has left her unable to move her limbs. Once she is able to get off the ventilator, she will be moved to a rehab facility to hopefully regain the control of her body as well as walk and talk again. If all goes well, she will then be moved home where she will undertake home therapy until she is whole again. A lot of work, but if anyone can do it... Angela can! 

We know COVID has effected us all both emotionally and financially, which makes asking for help during this time that much more difficult - but they need us. If you can contribute even the smallest amount it will go a long, long way in helping Angela and her loving family get back to where they need to be.
