It is time for the 3rd annual Mission Unicycle benefiting Mission 911!
This year I will ride my unicycle 25 miles around Corpus Christi to raise awareness and funds for families in need and the homeless. The funds raised will again benefit Mission 911.
Mission 911 is a faith based mission serving the Coastal Bend for over 14 years. It helps homeless and at risk people through the gifts of businesses and friends like yourself. Services Mission 911 provide include: counselling, financial assistance, clothing, housing, and dental treatment.
The first two Mission Unicycles were more successful than I ever imagined. The events raised thousands of dollars as well as donation of new mattresses and bedding for Mission 911. Being involved with Mission 911 over the past few years has opened my eyes to see how harsh life can be. This has motivated me to continue to try to help Mission 911 by raising much needed funds.
On Saturday, Nov. 15th at 8 am, I will ride my unicycle in the 3nd annual Mission Unicycle. The ride will consist of a 25 mile ride from South Bluff Park and back, primarily on Ocean Drive. I am asking for sponsorship at levels of $10, $20, $50, and $100. I have already received commitments for $2,500 for this year. Would you consider a gift of even $250 or more to help with this cause? All donations benefit Mission 911 and are tax deductible.
