<div>Today, I am not writing for myself — I am writing for my sister, Malak, whose name means Angel, but whose life is slowly slipping away before our eyes.

<div>Malak is 19 years old, full of kindness and dreams. She used to spend her days helping our mother, caring for our younger siblings, and talking about becoming a nurse one day — someone who could heal others. But now, she is the one who needs saving.

<div>Malak has been diagnosed with a severe liver enzyme deficiency, and doctors have confirmed that she urgently needs a liver transplant to survive. Her condition is getting worse each day — she is weak, pale, and in constant pain. She can hardly eat or walk anymore.

<div>In Gaza, there are no hospitals capable of performing this surgery. Medical supplies are running out, and even the simplest treatments have become nearly impossible to find. The doctors told us that she must be transferred abroad immediately — but that requires permits, travel arrangements, and over $100,000 to cover the cost of surgery, hospital care, and post-surgery medication.

<div>Our family has already lost so much. We were displaced multiple times because of the war, and we are struggling just to survive. Yet, losing Malak is something we cannot accept. She is the light of our home — and every heartbeat she has left reminds us to keep fighting for her life.
