Hello, my name is Emily and my best friend is Guts the frog!

Guts is a handsome 1.5 year old boy whom I’ve had the privilege of hand raising from a 7 gram froglet into a 1.3 kilogram young man! He loves wearing his hats, eating froggy snacks (bugs) and digging in his dirt ❤️

Since November of 2025, Guts has been exhibiting strange symptoms that are synonymous with kidney disease. I’ve been working tirelessly with an excellent team of specialist exotic veterinarians, but we cannot pin down the underlying issue of Guts’ symptoms, making it impossible to start a proper treatment plan for him. Though there aren’t a ton of veterinary tools for frogs (compared to dogs or cats), the final step in getting him a diagnosis is a CT scan. We’ve finally managed to find somewhere that will accept him for CT, and they’ve quoted me 5000$. This includes the fees for his anesthesia, administration of contrast dye (to improve visualization of any abnormalities), interpretation of the CT images by a radiation specialist, and transport for little Guts to the facility.

I’ve spent 4500$ on his medical care thus far, and while I don’t plan to ever give up on him, any financial aid at this point would help so so much just to get him a proper diagnosis.

I know this is a lot of money, and I’d appreciate any amount that anyone is willing and able to donate. Even if this only ends up raising 25$ it will be worth it. Guts means everything to me and has touched so many peoples lives.
