Gus' and Athens Restaurants Employee Relief Fund

As members of the food and beverage community, we have been heavily impacted by the spread of COVID-19. We have been working from the beginning to figure out novel solutions and ways to stay afloat and support our staff through this unprecedented situation. We're trying to support and employ our staff in any way we can, however many of our employees are navigating this unprecedented situation with no end in sight.
We’re incredibly thankful for our customers who have shown tremendous support through calls, emails, texts and social media messages. We have received an unbelievable amount of support and requests from our customers and the community at large- they're asking how they can help/donate, they're purchasing gift cards through us and even asking for Venmo accounts to send money to employees.
The teams who operate our restaurants on a daily basis are the lifeblood of our company, and of the Richmond restaurant scene at large. From bartenders to host staff, dishwashers to line cooks— these individuals work incredibly hard to make RVA restaurants the vibrant places we all know and love. So many of our guests have reached out to us on how they can help us and our staff through this.
Hence we have created this fund, to keep all of these requests in one place and share it amongst the people whom we can’t do this without. On top of what we're doing internally to make this better for our collective restaurant family, 100% of these donations will go to our staff. We are incredibly grateful for your support, and your patronage means the world to both of our restaurants. We will get through this together.
100% of all donations will be going directly towards this relief fund for Gus' and Athens Tavern tipped and hourly employees. Every dollar will help make a difference to our staff!
