Gus & Tina Praesel's Flood Fund

My name is Brandi Verrett.  I live in Houma, Louisiana.  My parents, Gus & Tina Praesel have worked all their lives to start a ranch.  They bought property in Buna, Tx three years ago and finally got to start living their dream raising cattle, chickens and rabbits.   Hurricane Harvey turned their dream into a nightmare leaving five feet of water on their land.  They have lost everything they own and just a few years away from retirement, have to start over again.  Their cattle did survive, but since they still have water on their property, they will now need hay and feed to survive as there is no grass to eat.  Just prior to  this devistation, my mom had to have emergency surgery on July 18, 2017 which put a strain on them emotionally and financially.   She was in the hospital for a week and after being released, she had to go back into the hospital for another 3 days.  They have applied for federal assistance, but are waiting for a responce.  Any donations will be used to buy household items (clothes, furniture, kitchenware items, appliances, etc...) and food for them and their animals.  My parents have helped me through so much in my life I feel the need to do something, anything, to help them back on their feet.  I am only one person, but together we could help make their dream come true again.
