The whole story would make a book, movie and mini series. I will be as brief as possible. I was diagnosed with MS in 2006. I had to leave my career that I loved and worked hard for  in 2012.
We decidied to sell our farm and move closer to town  in 2013.  Life was wonderful when we moved . We were so happy and full of hope and dreams. When our son was 18 he got into some trouble. We had to send him away. He lives in NC working and going to college. He is doing awesome!! We are very proud of him but miss him. It drained our savings and most of his college funds.
I sunk to a depth of depression during that time I didnt know was possible. We had been through literal hell, our 20+ year marriage hanging by a thread. Then  I adopted an English Setter named Bell. She was a lonely girl that had only been a hunting dog, never a pet or part of a family.  She was such a wonderful dog. Always in awe of her surroundings she had never seen. Oh how she LOVED to roll in the grass. Our bond was instant. She was beautiful, loyal and such a polite dog!
She was my rock during the most difficult time of my life.
Just a few months after she came here she got suddenly sick and had to have emergency speen removal. She recovered quickly back to her sweet happy  self.  The test results from small tumor came back the same time she got sick again. Hemangiosarcosis.
The wonderful creature that came into my life, lifted my spirits and helped me live again. I had my hopes and dreams back. And then I had to watch her die.
Losing her so suddenly gutted me. I sank back even deeper into hopelesness. I finally told myself that Bell was an angel God sent to make me feel better then he needed her back to help someone else.  That is the only way I can cope with loss of our pets.
She was only 6 years old.
Her vet bill was over $1500, they let me make payments on it.
In december 2016 I got another English Setter Gus. He is the joy of my life!  Everything about him is happy!
Just when we were getting back on our feet my husband was in auto accident Feb 2017 that caused him to miss 7+ months of work. We have to live off credit cards. He is all better now and back to work.
Slowly we were crawling out of the deep debt hole.
This October Gus swallowed object that lodged in his stomach and made him very sick. By the grace of God he passed the object on his own after 3 days back & forth to vet, multiple x-rays and medications. His bill was right at $1000. I had to use a credit card to pay all of it.
I was drained with relief that he is ok!
October 18th 2017 one of the horses went down suddenly. Boo was beautiful, sweet, gentle soul and  only 9 years old. She had contacted EPM virus.  Sadly there was nothing we could do so we had to let her go. Her vet bill was right at $900. I had to pay that with credit card which maxed it out.
Back in July my MS doctor said it was very important for me to go back on disease modiding drug or I was going to be in a wheel chair. The drug is $1500 AFTER insurance. We dont have it and not enough on credit card to pay for it. I have been on financial aid waiting list for 4 months. My MS is getting worse. Thank you for reading, any amont will help
God Bless,
Amanda
