<div>On February 22, 2024 Gunnar Haseltine, just 3 years old, was airlifted to Sanford Children's Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. He experienced flu-like symptoms, and immense pain with very low blood counts and oxygen. He received a life saving blood transfusion after the teams of healthcare professionals in Bemidji and Fargo emergency departments acted swiftly.

<div>After testing, doctors diagnosed Gunnar with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL for short). Paul and Courtney request prayer and positivity throughout the course of his treatment. The doctors plan to give Gunnar chemotherapy for the next 2 years, which began on Monday, February 26th. They will be required to be near the hospital for three to four weeks following this initial treatment and once he is discharged from his current inpatient care. No three year old should ever go through this experience but the doctors say the prognosis is very bright!

<div>I have had the privilege of knowing Courtney since we were toddlers and Paul for over a decade. They are hardworking, giving, Joy-filled people and the most loving and fun parents! Paul served our country as a Marine including deployment in the middle east. He is now classified as a disabled veteran. Courtney started her own personal training business and has dedicated her career to coaching people back to health through exercise and nutrition. They love Jesus and serve their friends, community, and church in so many tangible ways to show His great love to others!

<div>To help Gunnar and his parents, please pray for them throughout this journey! Another huge way to support them is financially! Courtney will need to stop working for now to care for Gunnar. Paul plans to continue to work part time for now so he can be with Courtney and Gunnar as much as possible. There will be many expenses over the next two years: medical bills, food expenses, gas bills from driving back and forth from Bemidji, MN to Fargo, ND, and normal bills. Any and all financial support will provide these loving parents the means to care for Gunnar and any other unknown needs that may come up during this journey.
