My name is Matthew Willis. I am the father of Chase Willis who is a proud member of the Gulf Shores High School Band
OUR STORY:
A total of 12 Gulf Shores High School band members -- aged 12 to 17 -- were injured, including three people who were in critical condition, when an SUV hit them on Tuesday afternoon at a Mardi Gras Parade.
They lost many of their instruments and we are trying to do everything we can to help these kids get through this tragic accident. One of the best ways to get through this is to get them all back playing their music again.
These kids are heartbroken, scared and in shock from this event. Mr. Mixon is their band director and will be spending a lot of time consoling these kids and getting them back on track. So I want to do my part to get the word out and take the stress of worrying about how they will be able to pay for all these instruments they have lost.
All of this money will be given straight to Gulf Shores High School Band to be used for the sole purpose of getting everything they will need for the band to start playing again and help these children put this unfortunate accident behind them. The sooner we raise this money, the sooner these kids can get back to what they love to do!
Let us show them that the world cares and help get them back to their music! This would mean the world to these kids and I don't think anyone can truly understand how thankful they would be for your support!
