Gukurahundi Survivors Support Fund
Donation protected
The aim of this fund is to provide funding for supporting survivors of Gukurahundi in Zimbabwe.
The fund will work with different community based Organizations including iBhetshu LikaZulu to provide real and practical support to survivors of Gukurahundi and their families. Support will be on a case by case basis.
The first case that has been identified is that of Joyce Ngwenya. Joyce was an 18 year old young woman when she lost her arm and leg as a result of violence inflicted by the Fifth Brigade Gukurahundi army in Zimbabwe in 1983 denying her the opportunity to pursue her dreams. She literally has been stuck to the ground since 1983. As per her last interview facilitated by @likazulu - she was using a wooden prosthetic. Joyce requires a prosthetic leg and arm. It’s important that her dignity be restored while she seeks justice like other Gukurahundi victims.
Please pay your part in restoring the dignity of Gukurahundi victims and survivors by donating.
