Guitar4Pete post-operation

This is a fundraiser for a Gear Page brother that goes by EsotericPete. I do not know Pete on a personal level, but as guitarists and message board members, we have developed a shared experience, as many people do on the internet.  One day in commenting about a guitar some other members were wanting Pete dropped this on us:   (describing some Lentz guitars he had)
"I've owned them all, and at the same time, for quite a length of time.

It's hard to say which of them I prefer more than the others. I was mostly into my DL90's when I had them. I had two. I also had an HSL and they built me a traditional T. The HSL was definitely a different animal than the T and for the reasons stated above...that extra volume know did wonders. The comfort of the hsl and dl90 body shape is super comfortable and well balanced. All my Lentz had very similar neck shapes which they are known for and all of them were nice and light, super reasonant, and had such killer tone that it helped me become a much better player during the 5 years I played them. my specific T had a bridge pickup that was similar to my HSL's (broadkaster style) and really drove an all and packed a huge whallop. People always commented on those bridge pickup tones. The neck pickup on the HSL could cop quasi-archtop tones if coaxed correctly. They all had such incredible sounds in them that it's hard to articulate into words.

Unfortunately in the fall of 2015 I had to have brain surgery to remove a tumor and as you would imagine, I was out of work for a while recovering. As a result, I had to sell a BUNCH of stuff to pay mortgage, and all our other bills. I held onto my beloved Lentzes as long as I could, but one by one I had to sell them off to pay them bills. Not a day goes by that I don't dream of my old boys. Those things were really something."

After that I told Pete I would give him 100 bucks towards another Lentz guitar. Many have followed.  We do not need large donations; anything will help. Do it for Pete, but also do your own Karma some favors.  Thank you.
