Hello Everyone,
As you may know, Guido Bustillos experienced a stroke in January and is now recovering at home.
Medical jargon aside, Guido appears to have quite the recovery ahead of him, and his primary, if not sole source of treatment is currently taking place at his home. We all know Guido is about as stubborn as they come, so I don't doubt that he will power through this. However, I'm hoping that we can give him a hand.
I've come to know Guido well, and whether it's acquaintances in CO, people that try to tell him what to do on jobsites, or friends and family in Chihuahua, Guido has always been generous to those around him. Many of us have worked with Guido over the years, and some of us have befriended him, so I'd like to think that we can collectively return his generosity now that he's facing a serious challenge like this.
According to the National Stroke Association, early recovery and rehabilitation can improve functions and sometimes remarkable recoveries for someone who suffered a stroke. Full disclosure, I haven't discussed this with Esmerelda, Christian, or Daisy, but I'm hoping we can piece some funds together to purchase a few at-home therapy items for him to use during these initial stages of his recovery.
Depending on how much we are able to raise, I'm proposing to purchase several items including:
- a recumbent stationary bicycle (~$250-$650);
- the FitMi Therapy Excercise System (~$350);
- the Flint Rehab Music Glove (~$389).
There are plenty of other prudent uses for any funds we can put together in excess of those purchases. Please consider making a donation, large or small, to help out a good guy, who you know would yell at you to do so if he could.
