<div>Es fällt mir schwer, diese Zeilen zu schreiben – über das Ende eines Lebens, das mich und so viele andere zutiefst inspiriert hat.

<div>Mein Vater, Guido Hofmann-Flick, führte ein Leben, das sich kaum in Worte fassen lässt. Er wuchs größtenteils in Spanien auf und hatte das große Glück, den Künstler Agustín Ibarrola als Mentor und Weggefährten an seiner Seite zu haben. Dessen Sohn fand nach dem Tod meines Vaters die wohl schönsten Worte:

<div>Damit auch die Kunst meines Vaters und sein Lebenswerk erhalten bleiben, sammeln wir Spenden. Sie sollen dazu beitragen, seine Werke zu bewahren, weitere Projekte seiner Ideen zu ermöglichen und seine Kunst auch künftig sichtbar zu machen. Denn das Schöne an Kunst ist: Sie bleibt. Sie berührt Menschen und wirkt weiter, auch wenn der Mensch, der sie geschaffen hat, nicht mehr da ist.

<div>Wir haben bewusst ein hohes Spendenziel gewählt. Es wäre unser Herzenswunsch, seine Kunst eines Tages auch wieder nach Spanien zu bringen. An den Ort, der ihn als Künstler und als Menschen so sehr geprägt hat.
