<div>Every time I brought Jazzy to the VA, veterans would stop us. They wanted to know how I found her, how the process worked, and whether a service dog could help them too. Those conversations happened over and over again, and they inspired me to create this book.

<div>My goal is to write an honest, practical guide based not only on research, but on lived experience. I want to help veterans understand their options, avoid common pitfalls, connect with reputable organizations, and answer the questions I wish someone had answered for me. Along the way, I'll share the stories behind the journey—the moments that remind us healing doesn't always happen alone.
